Nation Celebrates President Kim Il Sung’s Birthday

All the people across the DPRK significantly celebrated the 111th anniversary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Visitors to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme sanctuary of Juche, keenly felt their blessings of having the great leaders generation after generation, looking back upon the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Working people, service personnel of the Korean People’s Army and youth and students visited the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and their smiling portraits, including those on Mansu Hill and in other parts of the country, to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers and paid homage to them.

Visitors to Kim Il Sung’s birthplace at Mangyongdae recollected his revolutionary career.

Students at schools for orphans and primary schools and other children across the country were presented with gifts on the occasion of the April spring holiday.

Joint national meetings of the Korean Children’s Union organizations took place in all provinces, cities and counties.

Looking round the venues of the national photo exhibition and the national art exhibition, visitors realized once again the exploits performed by Kim Il Sung.

Colourful celebration performances were staged in the capital city of Pyongyang and other localities.

The Munsu Water Park, People’s Open-Air Ice Rink and other cultural recreational grounds in the capital city resounded with happy laughter of working people having a pleasant time.

Public catering facilities in different parts of the country served a variety of special dishes, adding more pleasure to the people.
