Agricultural Workers Celebrate War Victory Day

An event of agricultural workers “We Will Glorify Ever-Victorious History under Leadership of Dear Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un” was held at the Jonsung Revolutionary Site on July 23 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people’s victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, made a speech at the event.

July 27 is like the day of the second liberation as the army and people of the DPRK defeated the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being “strongest” in the world under the leadership of the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and brought about a shining victory.

He extended the highest tribute to Kim Il Sung, who performed feats in the history of struggle against imperialism and the U.S., reflecting the unanimous reverence of all the service personnel and people of the country.

Through poem and choruses “Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung” and “Our July 27” the performers praised Kim Il Sung for creating the myth of war victory admired by the world by wisely leading the fierce Fatherland Liberation War.

Poem “Korea Fights” was recited. Then the floor was taken by DPRK Hero Kim Sung Un, lecturer at the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum. He recalled that the President initiated the campaign of aircraft hunters and taught the skill of hunting enemy planes to soldiers in the period of the Fatherland Liberation War.

Ro Song Hye, chief lecturer at the Jonsung Revolutionary Museum, told the story about the historic day Kim Il Sung examined and ratified the document of the Armistice Agreement.

So Kyong Sim, chairwoman of the Management Board of the Wonhwa Co-op Farm in Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province, told about the noble personality of the President, who instilled confidence in victory into farmers, sowing seeds together with them during the war days.

Put on the stage were such numbers as female trio “Song of National Defence”, male solo “The House in My Birthplace” and light music “Song of Coast Artillerymen”.

Female solo “The General’s Road to the Front” highly praised the Songun leadership feats Generalissimo Kim Jong Il performed while making journeys to the forefront including Chol Pass and Mt. Osong.

Kim Sun Gil, chairman of the Sadong District, Pyongyang, Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, and Ri Hye Suk, chairwoman of the Management Board of the Samjigang Co-op Farm in Jaeryong County, South Hwanghae Province, vowed to uphold the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Un with increased rice production.
