UAWK Officials in DPRK Start Study Tour of Mt Paektu

Officials and primary information workers of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK)from across the country started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.


A meeting of starting the tour took place in the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on Feb. 24.


Members of the study tour group laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of Kim Il Sung and paid tribute to him.


Ri Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, made a report at the meeting.


The reported called upon all the study tour group members to more thoroughly prepare themselves to be reliable and competent political activists, cherishing the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men and the glorious tradition of the Juche revolution through vivid experience on their tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.


Speeches were made there.


At the end of the meeting, the members of the study group tour went round the Samjiyon Grand Monument.
