Public Procession Celebrates 75th Founding Anniversary of the WPK

A public procession took place at Kim Il Sung Square on October 10 in celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

It was attended by labuor innovators and persons of merits from all provinces.

The tribune of honour was taken by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK; Ri Pyong Chol, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Military Commission and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee; Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and premier of the DPRK Cabinet; and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.

It was also taken by Kim Jae Ryong and other members of the leadership body of the WPK Central Committee.

Pak Jong Chon, Kim Su Gil, Kim Jong Gwan and other commanding officers of armed forces organs were present on the tribune.

Present at the special seats on invitation were Kim Yong Nam and other veteran officials who had worked for a long time in the Party, the government and the military.

Present at the reserved seats were delegates to the celebrations for the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK and working people in Pyongyang.

As the start of the public procession was declared, the procession began amid the playing of the song “Glory to Our Great Party”.

When a column carrying the statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il appeared in the square, fireworks were shot off and many balloons let loose and a sea of waving flowers was unfolded.

Columns portraying large flags of the DPRK, the symbol of our great State, and the WPK, the ever-victorious banner, entered the square.

Working people, youth and students from various parts of the country were full of reverence for the WPK which has translated the long-cherished desire of the Korean people into reality.

Columns of cheering people from every province with a float bearing the letters “The guide of our destiny, the ever-victorious banner” marched past the square, representing the course covered by the WPK shinning as a history of the people.

The square echoed with the song “Our House is the Embrace of the Party ” which can be heard in all parts of the country from its northern tip to the city near the demarcation line, amid hurrah for the WPK raised by the participants.

Columns carrying the Party flags and the national flags marched past the square with a float bearing the letters “Forward along the road of socialism under the guidance of the great Party!”, demonstrating the steadfast spirit of the Korean people to successfully carry out the Juche-oriented socialist cause under the leadership of the Party Central Committee.

With the playing of the revolutionary hymn “Ode to General Kim Jong Un”, the square turned into a sea of flowers again.
