Participants in the People’s Art Festival Give Performances

The participants in the First People’s Art Festival in Celebration of the Day of the Shining Star gave performances at the People’s Palace of Culture, East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, Ponghwa Art Theatre and Central Youth Hall on February 16.
The performances were enjoyed by Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned and working people in the capital city of Pyongyang.
Put on the stages were such colorful numbers as male solo and chorus Shine, Jong Il Peak, female duet and dance Song of Big Hauls in the Sea.
The performers sang the praise of the undying feats of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who, born as the son of guerrillas on Mt Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, dynamically carried on the cause of Korean-style socialism along the road of victory and glory, holding aloft the red flag of Juche throughout his life.
The audience were deeply impressed by the numbers of the programs which depicted the ardent trust of the Korean people in the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is brilliantly carrying forward the cause of Juche and opening up a bright tomorrow of a civilized, powerful nation and a new world of eye-opening changes on this land.
The pieces expressive of the image of socialist Korea where Kim Jong Il’s lifetime intentions and desires are being translated into reality and of confidence in sure victory and optimism of the Korean people who are bringing earlier a fresh victory of the revolution under the leadership of the Party Central Committee instilled into the people the hope of a new brighter and happier life.
The performances climaxed with chorus Our National Flag and other songs pulsating with the unshakable will of all the Korean people to hasten a new victory of Korean-style socialism.
