DPRK Wins Gold Medal in Judo Grand Prix, Huhehaote 2017

DPRK judoist Rim Jong Sim won a gold medal in the women’s 52kg category in the Judo Grand Prix, Huhehaote 2017.

Rim defeated her rivals of Hong Kong of China and Hungary in preliminaries, Mongolian rival in the semi-finals and Canadian rival in the finals.

The championship, held in Huhehaote of China from June 30 to July 2, brought together more than 250 men and women players from 26 countries and regions including the DPRK, Russia, Ukraine and Canada.

The DPRK players returned home on Tuesday after taking part in the championship.
