It brought together players from Norway, New Zealand, Denmark, China and the DPRK (Group A and B) and they will compete in men and women’s team events and men and women’s singles and doubles. Present at the opening ceremony were Pak Gyu Hong, chairman of the DPRK Table Tennis Association and director of the Rungnado Guidance Bureau, officials concerned and sportspersons.
Vice-Minister of Sports and Physical Culture Kim Jang San, chairman of the organizing committee of the tournament, made an opening address. Then followed by the men and women’s team events.
