Workers and Trade Union Members Meet with War Veteran

Workers and trade union members held a meeting with a war veteran at the Central Hall of Workers on July 26 on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The meeting was attended by Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, trade union officials and workers and trade union members.

War veteran Ri Ye Chol, who had fought as a scout during the Fatherland Liberation War, made a speech at the meeting.

He gave a vivid account of the military feats he had performed together with his comrades-in-arms in creditably discharging the scouting mission by crossing the frontline and inflicted wholesale deaths upon the enemy in order to carry out the order issued by President Kim Il Sung at the cost of their lives.

He earnestly asked the workers and trade union members to faithfully support the ideology and leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea with the unshakable faith that they know only the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the WPK.

Speakers expressed their firm will to implement to the letter the important tasks advanced at the historic Eighth Party Congress and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee, cherishing deep in their hearts the spirit of defending the country and the revolution displayed by the heroic soldiers in the 1950s.

All the participants sang in chorus the song We Will Defend General Kim Jong Un with Our Lives, after the war veteran.
