To Realize His Dream

The Jangsan Sports Club boasts of a wrestling ace. He is Pak Wi Song, a 57-kg freestyle wrestler.

From his childhood, he began to learn the event at Sosong District Juvenile Sports School and took part in the national sports games of juvenile sports schools several times, ranking among the first three.

Whenever he won medals in succession in his young age, people asked him what he would do in the future after graduation. He said it was his dream and goal to become a world ace.

His answer was not empty words.

He won a gold medal in the 55-kg freestyle event of the Asian juvenile wrestling championship held in India in June 2015.

This happened right after he had increased his weight to 57-kg category.

He had several matches against other players in different sports clubs, but he was defeated every time.

In the course of analysing his playing mode in comparison with theirs, he came to understand that his perseverance was inferior to them.

Later, he made painstaking efforts to overcome his weak points and finally became a champion of his weight category in the country.

Kim Hak Won, senior coach, said Pak Wi Song would surely translate his resolve into reality in the future as he had a disposition of carrying out what he has determined to do.
