Stamp Marks Birth Anniversary of Kim Hyong Jik

The DPRK State Stamp Bureau issued a stamp in commemoration of the 120th birth anniversary (July 10, 1894) of Kim Hyong Jik, an outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea.

Seen in the upper part of the stamp are the letters:

“In commemoration of the 120th birth anniversary of Kim Hyong Jik, an outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea”

The stamp carries an acryl painting that shows Kim Hyong Jik guiding the Chongsudong Meeting.

Kim Hyong Jik, father of President Kim Il Sung, was a true patriot who had devoted his all to the independence of Korea and its liberation. He was also a pioneer in changing the course of independence struggle from the nationalist movement into the proletarian revolution.
