Rebuilt Rural Village in North Hwanghae Province Inspected

Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, inspected Kangbuk-ri, Kumchon County, North Hwanghae Province that has been rebuilt from damage caused by heavy rain and strong wind.

He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Pak Pong Ju, Kim Jae Ryong, Pak Jong Chon, Ri Il Hwan, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yong Su, Pak Thae Song and Hyon Song Wol.

He was greeted by Pak Chang Ho, chairman of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK, and commanding officers of the units of the Korean People’s Army that had been seconded to the reconstruction.

Kangbuk-ri, Kumchon County, North Hwanghae Province was devastated due to heavy rain and strong wind which swept over the whole area of the country this year. But, thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un and the heroic struggle of KPA service personnel burning with ardent patriotism and loyalty, it has been successfully built as a socialist fairyland, a model village of socialist rural communities, leaving no traces of natural disasters.

The Supreme Leader already acquainted himself with the facts that Kangbuk-ri was devastate by the recent heavy rain and strong wind and that moreover, some dwelling houses and public buildings were in critical conditions despite the exposure to annual natural disasters, and immediately issued a combat order to KPA units to replace all the buildings in the ri seat with new ones so as to facelift the village.

The service personnel, having rushed to the devastated area in response to his order of trust, newly built the seat of Kangbuk-ri, Kumchon County through a fierce campaign of loyalty, bearing in mind the WPK’s noble viewpoint of the people and its idea of the people-first principle, and thus achieved a proud success of making the first report of victory in the reconstruction campaign to the Party Central Committee.

Feasting his eyes on the picturesque village that has turned into a fine example of socialist rural communities, Kim Jong Un wondered if the village which had looked so pitiful for its past backwardness plus damage by natural disasters could shake them off in such a short period, adding he felt as if facing a different world. He said with great satisfaction that another success was made in which our Party’s grand plan for building rural areas and its policy for building the countryside have been carried out most correctly by the patriotic devotion and struggle of our soldiers.

He said that, whenever he received all most every day the news about the heroic struggle waged by our soldiers who constitute the main force on all fronts for rehabilitation in several areas of the country, he keenly felt the tremendous mental power, ardent patriotism and intense loyalty toward the Party and the people possessed by all the KPA officers and men and was deeply moved by their devotion and painstaking efforts.

Noting that the KPA soldiers are the creators of all miracles on this land and their genuine might lies not in the number of troops and the might of ammunitions but in their ardent love for their country and people and their mental power based on the love for and trust in their Party and their revolutionary cause, he stressed in great excitement that it is the greatest pride of our Party and our State and the biggest blessing for himself that we have such powerful revolutionary army loyal to the country, the people, the Party and the revolutionary cause.

Looking round the dwelling houses and public buildings in the ri, he repeatedly said that they were built clean and cozy to be impeccable both within and without.

He discussed, together with his accompanying senior officials of the Party and the government, the orientation our Party should permanently hold fast to in rural construction.

Saying that it is necessary to set up the long-term goal of local construction, the rural construction in particular, in a more realistic and planned way, he underscored the need to remarkably bolster up the State assistance to the responsible and important work for sprucing up the rural areas by accelerating the development of their high civilization and for turning the countryside into rich and cultured socialist rural areas based on modern technology.

Noting that it is imperative to make in-depth study of immediate tasks for the present and long-term goal of our Party for accomplishing at an early date the far-reaching plans for socialist rural construction advanced by the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, and measures for carrying them out, he said the upcoming Party Congress would give a correct answer to this crucial problem.

He repeatedly asked if the inhabitants and farmers were pleased with their reconstructed village which had been devastated by torrential rain and strong wind. Noting that he was very happy to hear that they were delighted, he said that our Party has certainly done a good job, and extended his thanks to the KPA soldiers for having realized one more wish of our Party.

He told the chairman of the Provincial Party Committee that it would be good to let the inhabitants move to new houses soon, adding that he wanted to see them moving to new houses.

Noting that he was very happy that he felt relieved of worries after a long time, he hoped that the inhabitants would settle down in their new village and new houses to lead a happy life and that the area would always be visited by good fortune.

The farmers and inhabitants in Kangbuk-ri, Kumchon County are to move to new houses in the model socialist rural village built by the ardent love of Kim Jong Un for the people, and it is the realization of the desire of the WPK. They are sure to make devoted efforts for the building of a powerful country in order to live up to his great solicitude with loyalty, bearing deep in mind the loving care and favour bestowed by the motherly Party to clear them of their misfortune.

As there are the Supreme Leader and our great Party, better cradles for the living of people will mushroom before long in different parts of the country which suffered from natural disasters.
