Pyongyang Folklore Park

[nggallery id=63]The Pyongyang Folklore Park, built at the foot of Mt. Taesong in Pyongyang, showcases the 5000-long-year Korean history, ranging from primitive age to present-day era.

Leader Kim Jong Initiated the construction of the park, underscoring the need to build it on a basis of historicism. He indicated ways for making up its districts and left an autograph “Pyongyang Folklore Park”.

Out of desire to materialize the leader’s idea with credit, the dear respected Kim Jong Unvisited the construction site in last January and gave highly important teachings for the park’s construction. In September, he again came to the park ready to open and taught in detail how to manage the park. He stressed that the park should contribute to implanting Juche and national characters into the minds of the local people.

Divided into five districts, the park boasts of many 1:1 duplications of relics, showing national traditions in an all-round way. It covers an area of more than 200 hectares.
