The West Pyongyang Fold is located in Jungdang-dong, Hyongjesan District, Pyongyang.
Its geological strata are composed of sandstone and aleurolite formed in the Mesozoic era.
It is 120 metres long and 20 metres high.
Smaller folds can be found between big ones. Big folds stand almost straight and their axial surface lies northwest and southeast.
The fold is a natural monument which is significant in finding out the features of the tectonic motion in the Mesozoic era and studying the structural geology.
