Munsu Water Park Completed

 

Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) — The Munsu Water Park, monumental edifice for the people, was splendidly built in Pyongyang.

The large water park sprang up on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River thanks to the noble outlook of Marshal Kim Jong Un on the people and future. It is the people’s leisure complex where working people and school youth and children can enjoy a highly civilized and happy emotional life.

Covering 109 000 square meters, the park has an open-air wading pool with various water slides and water tanks, comprehensive indoor wading pool, the Munsu Recovery Center and gymnasium. It has all amenities so that visitors can have good rest there all the year round.

An inaugural ceremony took place on Tuesday.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Pong Ju, Jang Jong Nam and other senior party, state and army officials, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people’s organizations, ministries and national institutions, soldier-builders, people from all walks of life, school youth and children, the chief of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front and overseas Koreans.

Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of various countries, representatives of international bodies and military attaches with their wives, staff members of foreign embassies here and foreign guests staying in the DPRK.

Pak Pong Ju, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, made an address.

He said that the water park is the edifice built thanks to KPA service personnel’s spirit of devotedly carrying out any project and their fighting traits as they are ready to flatten even a high mountain at a go in hearty response to the order of the supreme commander.

He stressed the need for officials and employees of the water park to serve the people in the spirit of devoted service to them and take good care of all facilities so as to glorify forever Kim Jong Un’s leadership exploits and make sure that the party’s warm love for the people reaches the working people and school youth and children.

Standing before the tape for opening the water park were Kim Ki Nam, Ro Tu Chol and leading officials of the units which took part in the construction.

It was cut by representatives of school youth and children and working people who would use the water park, representatives of the soldier-builders who took part in the construction and Mun Kyong Dok, secretary of the C.C., the WPK and chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK.

The people from all walks of life and school youth and children participating in the ceremony were deeply admired to go round different places of the Munsu Water Park successfully built as a leisure complex for the people to be proud of before the world. -0-
