Local Production of Raw Materials in Shoe-making Industry

Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) — The shoe-making industrial sector of the DPRK has turned out in a work to carry out the tasks for making recycling an important motive power in the development of the economy set at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Chae Chol Min, department director of the Management Bureau for the Shoe-making Industry, told KCNA:

Many units under the bureau are activating the production through domestic production of raw materials and recycling and raising the economic effectiveness of enlarged reproduction.

The Shoe-making Institute molded plastic particles necessary for footwear factories.

Meanwhile, footwear factories across the country have increased the production by establishing a recycling technology with waste plastic and rubber. They also settled the problem of materials for shoe chest with industrial wastes and made insole and adhesives with locally available raw materials, thus lowering the production cost by far and putting the production on a normal basis. -0-
