Kim Jong Un Visits Newly-built Medical Oxygen Factory

Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, gave field guidance to the newly-built Medical Oxygen Factory.

The factory, whose all processes are automated and computerized, is an advanced medical oxygen production and supply base for hospitals.

Kim Jong Un went round oxygen separating station, gas oxygen filling station, oxygen supply station and other parts of the factory to learn in detail about its construction and operation plan.

He was satisfied with everything, noting that an integrated production system has been established well at the factory, every production process is fully equipped with modern facilities and it has a car for delivering medical oxygen.

Recalling his instruction that an oxygen supply station should be built for hospitals to get medical oxygen without any inconvenience, he said the station is flawless in aspects of architectural beauty, convenience and utility.

He said that he is pleasant to see oxygen cylinders standing in rows at the station, each bearing a name of hospital to be supplied.

The factory is a small yet big one as it is greatly conducive to the protection of people’s lives and improvement of their health, he said and set forth the tasks facing it. And he gave an instruction that such modern medical oxygen production base should be built in different parts of the country on the basis of the achievements made in its construction.

When the factory begins its production to supply quality oxygen for treatment, people will get a great benefit from it, he said, adding: It is needed to make our people feel the advantages of the socialist system through such social benefits as the socialist health care system.

There are many things for us to do, but we attach primary attention to the public health service, because it represents the socialist system and is a very important work to give full play to the advantages of our socialist healthcare system, the only system in the world, through which the Party and the state take care of the people’s lives and health with responsibility, he said.

He stressed the need to direct sustained efforts to consolidating the material and technical foundations of health service in order to make the country’s healthcare system the most popular and advanced one of world level.

He expressed belief that the officials and employees of the factory would fully discharge their honorable duty with a firm will to contribute to the people’s health improvement.

Accompanying him were Vice-Chairman Choe Thae Bok and Vice Department Director Kang Pong Hun of the WPK Central Committee and Ma Won Chun, director of the Designing Department of the State Affairs Commission.
