Kim Jong Un Pays Tribute to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il

[nggallery id=26]Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il at the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces to pay tribute to them on his way back after wrapping up his inspection of the eastern sector of the front.

He, together with his wife Ri Sol Ju, laid bouquets before the statues of the Generalissimos and made a bow to them.

He was greeted on the spot by Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, Hyon Yong Chol, chief of the KPA General Staff, Kim Jong Gak, minister of the People’s Armed Forces, and Hwang Pyong So, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.

After watching the statues for a long while, he said with deep emotion he felt as if he had met the Generalissimos and they asked him how his long journey was.

He noted that the erection of the statues at the ministry meant a striking demonstration of the unshakable will of all service personnel and people to hold in high esteem the commanders of Mt. Paektu forever and accomplish the cause of the sun generation after generation.

It is of greater significance that the statues were erected at the ministry on the occasion of August 25, the meaningful day of Songun, he added.

He watched the statues depicting the Generalissimos with their hands on their waists and their faces beaming with a broad smile from a place near and distant from them. He watched them again before his departure, saying they were the best of the statues of the Generalissimos created so far.

He noted that the statues of the great Generalissimos who are always alive in the hearts of the army and people of the DPRK look most respectful and tender-hearted.

He highly appreciated the creators for depicting well the coat of the President and padded clothes ofKim Jong Ilalways fresh in the memory of the army and people of the DPRK.

He extended in the name of KPA Supreme Commander thanks to the officials and creators of the Mansudae Art Studio, soldier-builders of KPA Unit 583, employees and helpers for showing all their sincerity for the erection of the statues on the highest level.

He said the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces should successfully implement the behests of the Generalissimos by further strengthening the People’s Army to be an ever-victorious powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and accomplishing the historic cause of national reunification, cherishing the honor and pride of having the statues of the great Generalissimos standing high there.

He underscored the need for the ministry to take good care of the statues and conduct effective education in the greatness of the great Generalissimos through them.
