[nggallery id=30]Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, gave field guidance to the Taedonggang Tile Factory built on an expansion basis.

He went round different places of the factory to learn in detail about its construction, operation of its equipment and production. He dropped in at the building which houses a microlite shop with a capacity of hundreds of thousands of square meters and artificial marble tile shop, etc. He watched with keen interest the process producing large artificial marble tile of same colors and patterns as those of natural marble. He learned in detail about the operation of latest equipment giving diverse colors and decorations to large glass-compound tiles and building materials being produced by the way of dressing glass water on them.

He highly praised the officials and employees of the factory for having successfully carried out the second-phase capacity-expansion project while producing and supplying varieties of tiles to major construction sites including Changjon Street, true to the last instructions of leaderKim Jong Iland the party. By doing so, they have a great contribution to putting the building materials industry on a Juche, modern and scientific basis, he said.

At the general computer control room he learned about the streamlined production processes.

He was satisfied to hear that the factory is the one of Korean-style both in name and reality as it calcinates tiles by gasifying coal abundant in the country, i.e. the one entirely relying on locally available raw materials.

He underlined the need to continue directing big efforts to improving the quality of products, noting that the quality of tiles depends on plane and right angle tolerable numerical value, contraction rate, intensity and resistance to cold.

He also went round other shops producing tiles for outer and interior walls and floor and marble tiles.

While seeing tiles of diverse colors and sizes, he expressed great satisfaction, figuratively speaking, all clothes and underwear are locally made.

He looked round the tile exhibition at the factory.

He said while looking round the factory he learned that the officials of the factory were working in a big way, proud of their job and having an enterprising and progressive work style.

This is real patriotism, he noted, adding he was pleased with the ardent patriotism displayed by the officials and other employees of the factory.

Saying that the factory is the nation’s leading comprehensive building materials production base, he underscored the need to channel efforts to boosting the production of tiles, increasing their varieties and improving their quality.

He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Kyong Hui, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Ki Nam, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Yong Il, Mun Kyong Dok, Han Kwang Bok, Han Kwang Sang, Kim Kyong Ok, Ri Ryong Ha, Pak Thae Song, Kim Pyong Ho, Jang Su Gil and Ma Won Chun.
