DPRK Players Prove Successful in World Taekwon-Do Championships

[nggallery id=28] DPRK players proved successful at the 10th World Juvenile Taekwon-Do Championship and the 5th World Veteran Taekwon-Do Championship in Tallin, Estonia from August 20 to 26.

The championships brought together hundreds of men and women players from 71 countries of the world.

The DPRK players placed first in country standing in the Juvenile Taekwon-Do Championship.

The DPRK players won 18 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals in the Juvenile Taekwon-Do Championship.

Han Tae Bom and Kim Kum Jong received technique prizes for man and woman of the championship for showcasing excellent technique.

DPRK players gained good results in the Veteran Taekwon-Do Championship.

Ri Sun Ok came first in gold class veteran’s pattern first degree and 60kg-category sparring match while Kim Jong Sun placed first in silver class women’s 68kg-category sparring event.

They returned home on Saturday.
