Concert Commemorates 100th Birth Anniversary of Composer Kim Hyok

A concert was given at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre on April 28 to commemorate the 100th birthday of composer Kim Hyok.

Among the audience were creators, artistes, teachers and students in the field of arts and his bereaved family members.

Male trio and chorus “My Country” and chorus “March of Young Socialist Builder” were applauded by the audience. Those songs greatly encouraged the heroic struggle of the Korean people and young people for performing feats at a stirring time when they ushered in the Chollima age under the leadership of the Party.

The concert reached its climax when quartet and chorus “We Are the Happiest in the World” was put on the stage to reflect the boundless reverence for the peerlessly great men.
