Art Exhibition in Pyongyang Instills Kim Jong Il's Patriotism

A fine art exhibition on the theme of “Let us step up the building of a thriving country by displaying Kim Jong Il’s patriotism!” is going on at the Pyongyang International House of Culture.

On display there are more than 60 fine art pieces, including Korean paintings, oil paintings, posters, woodcut prints, pencil drawings, embroidery and calligraphy.

[highlight txtcolor=”#dd3333″]An acryl painting “Visualizing a New History of Golden Mountains” and an oil painting “Opening up a New History of Taegyedo” show the Korean people’s deep yearning for President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.[/highlight]

A woodcut print “Buzzing Sound” and pencil drawings “Big Haul” and “Affection” call upon the viewers to work devotedly with Kim Jong Il’s patriotism kept in their minds.

Korean paintings “Spring” and “The Day When They Leave for Military Posts” give a vivid description of the DPRK servicepersons and civilians working hard with patriotism to turn the country into a socialist land of bliss covered with greenery.

There are also an oil painting “Secret Camp in Spring” and a pencil drawing “Eternal Life” representing the anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs and the People’s Army soldiers in the 1950s, who heroically fought for the country and the people. They instill patriotism and the spirit of devotedly defending the country into every viewer.

Besides, the exhibits include fine art works showing landscapes of the country. -0-
