The Glorious Country in Celebration of the 70th Founding Anniversary of the DPRK

Seven decades have passed since the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea appeared on the international arena, flying high its three-coloured national flag with a lucid five-point star.

A grand mass gymnastics and artistic performance “The Glorious Country” raised its first curtain at the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang, unfolding the proud memories of history in an artistic way.

It is featured by delicate and concerted gymnastic movements of performers and their skilful stunts, solemn and delightful music, graceful and vibrant rhythms, mysterious and gorgeous backdrops and illuminations.

This extravaganza, which leads the audience to swim in the harmonious world of diverse means of depiction, is a national treasure of the DPRK.

The DPRK had already established a worldwide fame with “Arirang”, which was registered as the largest-scale mass gymnastics and artistic performance in the world in the Guinness Book of World Records. And now it is demonstrating once again its peculiar appearance on the occasion of its 70th birthday.

A Korean proverb says seeing is believing.
